Atelier Naïté

Atelier Naïté (아뜰리에 나이테) is a one-person woodworking studio with a dream. One day, Atelier Naïté will establish a non-profit initiative that will help disadvantaged people work and create together. Woodworking is a soothing and healing experience in this turbulent world. To fashion a finished hand-crafted wood product is a demanding, multi-part process that requires vision, patience and perseverance. The resulting joy and delight of both this process and finished product is priceless.

As a woodcrafting woman, I deeply appreciate and cherish the uniqueness and value found in trees, and the wood they provide as the sole material for my work. I approach these materials with great care, treating every piece with gratitude and respect, never wasting scrap but finding new use for each. As my woodworking mentor taught me, it takes a long time to grow a tree; even leftover pieces can be made beautiful.

At Atelier Naïté, I give my best to create wooden products that will bring warmth, natural beauty and enjoyment from God’s creation. I have found purpose and pleasure knowing people can experience my products and appreciate its form and function through daily use.

Naïté [Na-i-te]

The brand which is neither English or French, even with its accent markings. It is an original word created by me. Accent Tréma ï and Accent Aigu é are intended to articulate the pronunciation of a very similar Korean word ‘나이테’. ‘나이테’ means ‘Growth Ring’ in Korean, pronounced as [Na-i-te].
