Yes, Salt can be useful not only for your cooking but also woodworking!

You would need ‘Salt’ when you glue up wood borads. When you glue up boards face-to-face, you can easily see that the boards slipped around when you tightened with the clamps. To avoid this, sprinkle little bit of salt on the glue before putting the boards together. The salt could react with wood glue for extra grip!
