This was my first attempt at making a ‘bed table’. To confess, it was way more challenging than I expected, especially in figuring out how to create 'foldable’ legs attached. I don’t typically use metal or nails/screws for my woodworking projects, but for this one, I had to use these and other materials such as magnets, washers, zinc screw eyes, fabric & velcro.

Another challenge was the weight of the table as I knew in order for it to be portable, the end result would need to be as light-weight while being sturdy as possible. My choice was soft Maple wood and I made it with 1.3 cm thickness. After this project, I’m up for the challenge of making an even better foldable bed table…at least one more time!
