To create wooden cutting boards, determining “Jenka” measurements that measure the hardness of wood are typically important to ensure it can withstand the impact of knives. However, over the years I’ve come across cutting boards made of softwoods too, that are equally functional as well as beautiful. To create this cutting board, I experimented using different parts of a Sycamore tree glued together, to make this stunning colour pattern!
