As a woodcraft artisan, I have yet to develop my own signature product or line. There’s just so many things I want to explore, and toys are definitely one of them! When I received an inquiry to make toys for rabbits, I wasn’t sure where to start, but the thrill of trying something new compelled me to say “yes”!

I was surprised to find there are many kinds of wooden toys for animals, including rabbits. I learned that rabbits particularly love Willow trees! I also discovered Sycamore, Apple, Maple, Cotton and Pear trees are safe for rabbits to chew on, but to steer clear of Cedar, Rose, Oak, Fig and Citrus fruit branches for their toxicity. For these toys, I combined craft paper, pine wood, jute and Raphia along with the Willow branches to stimulate play in a variety of ways!
