This piece was inspired by my desire to create something for my little niece. I picked the Honey Locust wood as its grain is beautiful but it was pretty tough to work with as it was really hard to carve! I almost gave up on this project and neglected it for a long time, but as wood is precious, I had to finish or upcycle it and my choice was finishing! I’ve tried several hand tools for carving and it was good experience in the end! And I was able to offer as gift to my niece!
